Welcome
The University of South Florida Fetal Therapy Center provides patients and physicians with the latest and most advanced resources in the field of prenatal diagnosis and therapy.
The Fetal Therapy Center offers minimally invasive techniques that can effectively treat previously untreatable, life threatening disorders discovered in unborn babies. The benefits and advantages of these techniques include the following: (1) improving the survival rates for babies afflicted with fatal disorders; (2) preventing or reducing the likelihood of adverse outcomes to enhance the overall quality of life for babies born with serious disorders and birth defects; (3) reducing significantly the surgical risks to mothers and babies; (4) reducing significantly total costs of providing care to babies born with serious disorders and birth defects.
Tampa General Hospital (TGH) serves as the primary teaching hospital for the University of South Florida (USF) College of Medicine. All patients referred to our center have their prenatal ultrasound evaluation, consultation and surgical procedure at TGH.
